This online event will draw some of the leading voices in the space to discuss what it will take to shift the dial around student wellbeing. Consisting of a panel discussion and break-out workshops from specialists in different fields, we will be speaking openly about the challenges faced in schools and share some of the most important approaches in effectively supporting students.
Kelly is a mental health and wellbeing consultant, blogger, public speaker and author who passionately promotes positive mental health and wellbeing of all stakeholders in the workplace and education.
She is the director of Mind Work Matters, a consultancy service that provides expert knowledge led approaches and resources for whole system wellbeing development to help organisations thrive and create sustainable strategies for positive mental health and wellbeing.
Jon Severs is editor of Tes. He has been a journalist for 15 years, starting at Haymarket Publishing and going on to write for several leading B2B titles, including Property Week, The Grocer, and Retail Week. He has also written for consumer titles, including The Independent. He joined Tes in 2012 as a features editor. He became editor in January 2021.
Andy Wolfe is the Executive Director of Education at the Church of England. Here he oversees the development of leadership programmes and networks across the Education Office and the Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership.
Adrian Bethune is a part-time teacher a primary school in Aylesbury, Deputy Chair of the Well Schools strategic board and the founder of Teachappy. In 2012, he was awarded a ‘Happy Hero’ medal by Lord Richard Layard at the House of Lords for his work on developing wellbeing in schools. In 2015, he was invited to speak at the Action For Happiness event, Creating A Happier World, on stage with the Dalai Lama.
Adrian is author of the award-winning Wellbeing In The Primary Classroom – A Practical Guide To Teaching Happiness (Bloomsbury, 2018), co-author with Dr Emma Kell of A Little Guide to Teacher Wellbeing and Self-care (Sage, 2020) and lead author for the Oxford International Curriculum for Wellbeing (Oxford University Press, 2021).
